Bangalore- Weekend Getaway

Bengaluru is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Karnataka. Bangalore or Bengaluru is a city of experiences, various cousins and has plenty of nearby escapes. Bangalore, a city of vacation in itself, within the range of 80 - 90kms you can find ample of options for spending a cozy day and lazy night.

Enjoy the below listings and choose the one which suits the best. Happy Reading!

Wholesome Farms - Marathi Palya - Bengaluru

My first and foremost choice is always to be close to nature, and wholesome farms nestled in the outskirts of Bangalore are undoubtedly the best pick. Here you can pluck strawberries from the farm directly. Per person above 3 years, they charge Rs 100 and you can pluck as many strawberries as you want for Rs 400 per kg. Being an elderly or a kid this 80 km drive from Bengaluru is worth a single penny. It is indeed a fun picking and unique experience. For morning sessions try to reach by 8 am  and for afternoon slots 12 pm to 2 pm, typically one can spend 1.5 to 2 hours ...after all it is berry fresh farm.

Grover Zampa vineyards -Doddaballapur Rd, Bengaluru

A wine lover paradise, if you are an avid wine chaser and nature lover then  Grover Zampa vineyard located at the foot of Nandi hills is the ever needed break for you. From grape throbbing to wine tasting, this tour is so well planned that you would feel it is like a time-lapse reel rolling over your Instagram account. Or a day well spent. Their lounge is jaw-droppingly elegant and the various combinations of glasses to dishes are so explanatory. In total it is Royal to groove around!

Dandiganahalli Dam - Chikballapur- Bengaluru

A virgin place when it comes to touristy crowds. This place is for those who have googled n number of times for the places near Bengaluru within 90kms.  Unknown to most this place can only be reached by navigating through google maps and it is not an easy peasy road. Once you reach this reservoir after crossing muddy paths and a few villages, you will be surrounded by rocky green hills. Paddling in water is a strict NO-NO. Dandiganahalli Dam is perfect for a short outing. You can swing by and hone your photography/selfie skills (whichever you prefer). The place is also great for spotting colorful birds. Carry your own food and water since there’s not much around here. If you are bringing a picnic basket make sure you don’t litter since there’s no one to clean up after you.

Sri Sri Art of living Centre and  Sri Sri Tatva panchkarma - Udaypura Bengaluru

Located in the calm and serene outskirts of Bengaluru a lush green paradise where a lot of good things happening. Prior to this covid times, they used to provide a bus tour of their campus free of cost, after which visitors can head towards freshly prepared satvik meals, which are incomparable. My favourite part is radha kunj lake, an exotic part of the ashram, the lake is home to rare migratory birds At panchakarma, one can book an appointment for rejuvenating his ownself, This deserves a post , which I will be doing very soon. Let me just quickly say that it is a place for deep rejuvenation and relaxation where you can literally detox and is a feast for eyes such rustic environment, this will surely remind you of an ancient royal era. They have a range of therapeutic massages, deep detoxification techniques, and herbal medicines to ensure that your physical, mental and emotional well-being hit a peak.

Bengaluru Airport

Yes! I know all of you might be thinking howcome, an airport could be a part weekend outing, do not underestimate the power of a not so common airport. Bengaluru airport has evolved so much that nowadays couples prefer to drive and dine at the airport. It has the best bakeries, breweries, and whatnot. I am in total awe with the ambiance and vibes. Try you won't regret.

So what are you waiting for, hit the road and have an amazing weekend!!
